As an internationally active manufacturer of filling and packaging systems for the beverage, food and non-food industries, KHS GmbH occupies a leading position in the industry. The company was formed in 1993 from the merger of Holstein & Kappert AG, Dortmund, founded in 1868, and Seitz-Werke GmbH (later SEN AG), Bad Kreuznach. Headquartered in Dortmund, the KHS Group* achieved sales of around €1,180 million in 2016 with 4,995 employees. KHS GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Salzgitter Klöckner-Werke GmbH, which belongs to the Salzgitter Group.

KHS develops and manufactures the entire portfolio of filling and packaging machines at five German locations. The product range includes high-performance systems in particular, but also solutions for smaller output rates.

KHS GmbH is valued as a market leader and supplier of innovative, reliable and highly efficient products and services such as turnkey complete systems, individual machines, conversions and, last but not least, because of a worldwide on-site service available around the clock. Modern concepts that are consistently developed and produced in line with customer expectations underline the KHS vision of "First Choice in Technology and Service".

For 150 years now, customers worldwide have trusted the experience and competence of KHS as a system provider. KHS uses a large number of electric motors, so energy efficiency is one of the driving forces behind new developments. In addition to energy savings, the further development of direct current technology into a DC system promises advantages in terms of grid stability, grid maintenance and the use of regenerative energies, among other things.
